InventoryIntel capabilities

Everything InventoryIntel does to find slow-moving Shopify stock and turn it back into cash, and the controls that keep every action inside your rules. AI suggests the recovery actions; deterministic, quantitative mathematics decides which are safe. Both plans include the full recovery workflow; the differences are on the pricing page.

AI suggests. Deterministic maths decides.

AI only suggests ways to recover stock that has stopped selling. Whether a recovery action is safe to launch is always decided by deterministic, quantitative mathematics, tested against your margin, price-floor and discount rules.

  • AI only suggests recovery actions. AI never sets a price or a discount
  • Deterministic, quantitative mathematics decides every recovery action
  • Nothing launches outside your rules and your approval policy

Inventory aging report

The inventory aging report lists every product and variant by how long its stock will last at the current rate of sale, how quickly sales are slowing, and a risk level from healthy to dead stock. It can be exported as a CSV for your finance or buying team.

InventoryIntel builds it from your Shopify catalogue, stock levels and recent orders, and refreshes it automatically every day, so it is never a spreadsheet someone has to rebuild.

Cash tied up in stock

The dashboard shows your capital at risk: the value of inventory flagged as slowing, stagnant or critical, and how much is tied up in each product. That turns a vague sense of overstock into a figure you can prioritise against.

The Alliance plan adds capital-at-cost and gross-margin reporting. Variants with no unit cost recorded in Shopify are left out of those figures rather than guessed, and the report tells you how complete your cost data is.

Markdowns that follow the age of the stock

Markdown rules decide how deep a discount goes as a product's days of stock grow: a light price cut first, a deeper one later, and wholesale routing when retail is unlikely to clear it. New stores start with a sensible set of rules that you can edit.

Every markdown stays inside the minimum and maximum discount limits the app enforces, and runs in your store as a Shopify discount.

Clearance campaigns and flash sales

For stock that needs to move quickly, InventoryIntel can run a time-boxed clearance campaign or flash sale. Storefront clearance badges, added through a Shopify theme app extension, show shoppers what is on offer without editing theme code.

A shareable clearance page on your own store's domain lists the products in the sale, so you can link to it from email or social posts.

Bundles for slow sellers

A bundle pairs a slow-moving product with an accessory or a product from the same category, so it sells as part of a set instead of needing a deep discount on its own.

Bundle rules only fire when a product has a suitable partner, and the bundle is created in Shopify when you launch it.

Wholesale and bulk liquidation routing

When retail discounting is unlikely to recover enough, InventoryIntel can route stock toward wholesale or bulk liquidation instead. It prepares buyer-ready exports, a buyer pack and a liquidation manifest, so you can offer the stock to trade buyers.

Wholesale price floors stop a routing recommendation from going below the margin you are willing to accept.

AI-suggested, mathematically verified recommendations

For each product at risk, AI suggests the recovery options open to it. Deterministic, quantitative mathematics then compares them on your own store's evidence and recommends the one it expects to recover the most, with a confidence level. AI never sets a price or a discount: the maths does, every time.

Each recommendation explains, in plain language, why it was chosen. The evidence is your own: sales history, stock movement, prices and costs. Nothing is launched until it passes your rules and your approval.

Protected inventory and margin guardrails

Protection rules keep products out of every recovery action, by collection, tag, product type, vendor, price or individual product, so new arrivals, best sellers or brand-sensitive lines are never discounted by mistake.

Minimum margin, price floors and discount limits are checked before an action can launch, and oversold or stock-risk products are flagged so a campaign is not pointed at stock you do not have.

Approval rules and automation

An approval policy decides which actions need sign-off and who can give it. Named approvers work through an approval queue, and every approval, override and change is recorded.

Rules can be set to run automatically after each sync, or to wait for a person. You choose, rule by rule.

Recovered-revenue reporting

Sales from each recovery campaign are attributed to it, so you can see how much revenue a markdown, bundle or clearance sale brought back. Dashboards, CSV reports and a weekly digest keep finance, merchandising and operations looking at the same numbers.

Built for a team

Role-based access with pre-defined app roles decides who can view, approve, launch or change billing. InventoryIntel runs inside your Shopify admin and signs people in through Shopify, so there is no separate password.
