What is Margin Optimizer?
Margin Optimizer is a Shopify app from Sparande that checks every product's price against its cost and your target margin, shows which prices fall short and by how much, and launches the corrected price in Shopify only after you confirm it.
Does Margin Optimizer change my prices automatically?
No. A price changes only after you review the finding and confirm the launch.
Where does the cost come from?
From the cost per item recorded on each product variant in Shopify. Variants without a cost cannot be checked, and Margin Optimizer lists them so you can add one.
What target margin does it use?
Yours. Until you set one, it uses a 35% target margin and a 15% price-change limit each way, and it labels those figures as defaults wherever it shows them.
What happens when my target needs a bigger increase than my limit allows?
Margin Optimizer shows the price your target needs, the highest price your limit allows and the margin at that capped price. You can launch the capped price or change your limit.
Does it forecast sales?
Only where there is evidence. For products with enough recent sales it estimates units, revenue and margin at a proposed price. For products without that history it checks unit economics only and says there is no sales forecast.
How is AI used?
Recommendations come from deterministic calculations on your store data. AI writes the plain-English explanations, and it can put forward an extra candidate price, which the same calculations test against your cost, target margin and limits before you see it.
Can I undo a launched price?
Yes. Every launched price change can be rolled back, one at a time: you revert it in the app and the previous price is live again. There is no single button that reverts every change at once.
How much does it cost?
Plans are priced by monthly store revenue, include every feature, start with a 7-day free trial and are billed through Shopify. See the pricing page for the current plans.
Does it work with Shopify Plus and multiple currencies?
It works on any Shopify plan. Prices and costs are checked in the store's own currency.
What data does it access?
Products, variants, prices, costs, inventory and recent order lines. It does not read customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses from orders.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Shopify access is removed at uninstall. When Shopify sends its shop deletion request, Margin Optimizer deletes the shop's data unless a legal retention obligation applies.
