Margin Optimizer capabilities

Every Margin Optimizer plan includes every feature. Plans differ only by the monthly store revenue they cover.

AI suggests. Deterministic maths decides.

AI can only put forward a candidate price and write the plain-English explanation. Whether a price is safe is always decided by deterministic, quantitative mathematics, tested against your cost, your target margin and your price-change limits, so the same inputs always give the same answer.

  • AI only suggests a candidate price. AI never sets a price
  • Deterministic, quantitative mathematics decides every price
  • Nothing reprices until you confirm it, and each change can be rolled back

Margin check for every variant

Margin Optimizer reads each variant's price and cost per item from Shopify and works out its margin today: (price − cost) ÷ price.

  • Flags variants priced below cost, where every unit sold loses money.
  • Flags variants below your target margin, and shows how far below it they are.
  • Lists variants with no cost recorded, because a margin cannot be checked without one.

Your target margin and price-change limits

You set the margin you want and the largest price increase and decrease you permit. Until you set them, Margin Optimizer uses a 35% target and a 15% limit each way, and it labels them as defaults wherever it shows them.

When the price your target needs is beyond your limit, Margin Optimizer says so and offers the highest price the limit allows, with the margin that price earns. You can accept that capped price or change your limit.

Plain-English explanations

Explain the maths turns a finding into a short paragraph: today's margin, the cost, the price your target needs, and what your limit allows. The explanation may only use figures the calculation produced; if the AI writing it states any other number, the app shows fixed wording with the same figures instead.

Price check for any proposed price

Change the price, the cost or the target margin on any finding and see the margin, the gap to target and whether the price fits your limit. This check uses unit economics only, so it works for products with no sales yet.

Sales-based estimates where there is evidence

For products with enough recent sales, Margin Optimizer measures how sales respond to price and estimates units, revenue and margin at a proposed price. For products without that history it does not produce a forecast, and it says so.

Confirmed launches in Shopify

  • A price changes only after you confirm it.
  • One live price change per variant at a time, so two launches can never fight over the same price.
  • Every launch is recorded with the product, the old price and the new price.
  • Orders after a launch are attributed to it for up to 90 days, so you can see what the change did.

Billing through Shopify

Plans are billed on your Shopify invoice. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from inside the app.
