Getting started with Margin Optimizer
This guide takes a new merchant from install to a first confirmed price change. Detailed help is also available inside the app under Help.
Set up
- Install Margin Optimizer from the Shopify App Store and approve its permissions.
- Choose a plan. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
- Check that your products have a cost per item in Shopify. Margin Optimizer lists any variant without one.
- Open Settings and set your target margin and price-change limits, or keep the defaults.
Your first price change
- Open Opportunities to see every finding for your catalogue.
- Open a finding to see today's margin, the cost, the price your target needs and what your limit allows.
- Use Explain the maths for a plain-English summary, or the price check to try other prices.
- Confirm the launch. Margin Optimizer updates the price in Shopify and records the change.
If the app does not load
Open Margin Optimizer from Shopify Admin, under Apps, rather than from a bookmark. It works in private and incognito windows and needs no cookie settings changed. If it still does not load, email support@sparande.co.uk.
